A teenage boy has been charged after allegedly stabbing a student at a high school in Orange.

Upon arrival, officers from Central West Police District deployed OC spray to disperse a number of fighting students, while NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a teenage boy for a puncture wound to his chest.
The teenager was taken to Orange Hospital, where he underwent surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.
He has since been released from hospital.
A crime scene was established and detectives commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries,the alleged attacker was arrested at a home in Orange at 5pm on Thursday and was taken to Orange Police Station.
He was charged with reckless wounding in company and granted conditional bail to appear before the children's court in August.
After the incident Canobolas High Rural Technology's Facebook page confirmed one of its students had been injured in an incident on school grounds.
"An injury occurred during an incident involving an outsider coming onto school grounds," the post read.
"Staff managed the incident well until police arrived to provide support."
Inquiries continue.
