When Jarryd Hayne scored a sensational solo try on the stroke of half time in game I of the 2007 State of Origin series, he probably didn't think anyone would ever go close to topping his efforts.

Fast forward 13 years to a crisp Wednesday night at Wade Park and CYMS' back rower Cody Kelso did his best to impersonate the two-time Dally M Player of the Year as he put the finishing touches on a 34-0 drumming of the Hawks with a breathtaking four-pointer down the left edge.
While Kelso's effort was something you might never see again, what pleased CYMS' coach Cam Jones more was the 59 minutes that led to the final try as the men in green continually repelled attacking raids from Hawks, even when they had Rohan Bouffler in the sin bin.
"It was really good to keep them to zero... I didn't think that was going to happen because they're a really good team," Jones said.
"From half-time onwards when we had them at zero, the plan was to keep them there so it's pleasing we did that."
The Wednesday night clash is part of a gruelling 11-day stretch for Jones' men but at 2-0, the veteran Premier League front rower can't complain.
"We've got four games over that time so we'd love to get off to a good start," he said.
"There's two tough ones coming up and then we've got a bye so hopefully we can get to four from four."
There's no reason the star-studded outfit can't go undefeated throughout the campaign as there's a wealth of talent across the park, starting at the back with electric fullback Addison Williams.
"Mate, he's bloody real good... he was sprinting down the sideline and it doesn't even look like he's trying. He does it with ease," he said.
"He does things confidently and cruises through it. He's got a good leadership as well."
Williams bagged a meat pie in what was a six-try display from the men in green that started in the 8th minute with a Pat Williams four-pointer as the pivot pounced on a loose ball in the in-goal.
Centre Sam Murphy was next to strike for CYMS as he crashed over the line on the stroke of quarter time, making Jake Blimka's boys feel the heat early on.
When Ollie Hoskins scored a length-of-the-field try in the 23rd minute, it felt as though the winning side would be near-impossible to peg back.
And that's the way it panned out as CYMS kept the Hawks scoreless throughout the game, despite allowing the men in the blue to spend plenty of time in their redzone.
A disappointed but proud Jake Blimka strolled out of the sheds after the match as he commended his undermanned side for leaving everything on the paddock.
"We had a lot of passion at times," Blimka said.
"Our mental discipline wasn't good enough... too many penalties and too much dropped ball."
While penalties hurt the Hawks in the opening quarter, that's never something Blimka's going to focus on as he held his side solely responsible for the result.
"I never look at the referee," he said.
"It comes back to what we're doing as a team."
Marlin and Mason Pollack are just two of the six crucial Hawks players who sat on the sideline for Wednesday night's tilt but the coach was unwilling to attribute that to the outcome.
"We've got key members on the sideline but again, that's not an excuse," he said.
"The boys who filled in put in 100 per cent and that's all I can ask for."
