Tickets, subscriptions, for the VeryLocal, streaming service will be available for purchase from Tuesday.

Creative directors Alex Burke from Arcadia and Bec Janek from Brick Road Pictures, will take audiences into the depths of the Central West winter, as it features top class chefs and sommeliers, artisans, Aboriginal astronomy and the environment.

VeryLocal will run seasonally or in relation to various festivals starting from from July 31 to August 16 and for the past few weeks, Tom Luscomb has been busy filming at a range of locations in and around Orange for the initiative.

It will be Australia's first regional subscription video on-demand platform and will showcase several digital channels featuring locally produced content, including a dedicated Slow TV channel.

Ms Burke said Orange360 approached her and Ms Janek about ways of creating a hybrid festival and they came up with the idea of the streaming platform.

"It's something we will roll out whenever the next season requires it," Ms Burke said.

Highlights include a wine tasting at Ferment with winemaker Philip Shaw and renowned wine critic Peter Bourne as they delve into the Hoosegg range.

Viewers are encouraged to purchase their own Pioneer Brewing pack before joining Pioneer's head brewer Pete Gerber through a tasting of a selection of his award-winning beers.

On Monday Ms Burke said they were filming at the Union Bank and they were filming a segment with Isaac Power of Orange who forges his own knives.

The Slow TV channel will include Turning the miso, where people can watch Nana Harada from Mountain Miso using a traditional Japanese technique, Into the woods will take a calming trip into the pine forests with expert foragers, and In the artist's studio will show Larissa Blake at work from the blank canvas to completed art.

There will also be live streaming events including PULP - an intimate queer party featuring KYVA, and a CCTV live chicken feed. A special showcase will be an Indigenous astronomy and dance presented by Condobolin Sky Fest.
