Steve Menzies, Craig Wing and Brad Fittler were all visiting as part of a trip to regional PCYCs, and spent some time playing football indoors before talking to the children.
"I always love coming down here and utilising these facilities, they're brilliant facilities and kids should know more about them," Mr Fittler said.
"It's been great, last time - we normally do our trips in summer but we were caught up by the bushfires and then COVID hit so a lot of frustrated kids out here, and adults, so it's a great excuse to get on the bikes."
Mr Fittler has been to Orange several times before, and said he loved coming across the mountains, although he admitted it was a slightly colder drive this time.
He said it was great not just for children to meet NSW stars but good for them to get out of the city.
"I don't know if we're stars any more, we're more like fading stars but it's good to get away, it's good for our morale and headspace as well, we enjoy each other's company and love bike riding so it's good for us to get away," he said.
"From here we'll go to Dubbo, then to Maitland and then home."
