The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast an 80 per cent chance of showers on Monday and a 40 per cent chance on Tuesday.
Only about three millimetres is forecast but with the city still under Level 5 water restrictions every drop counts.
The bureau said a total of seven millimetres fell in Orange across the weekend with Saturday and Sunday morning being the wettest with 4.2 mm.
This week is set to continue the pattern of cold starts with overnight minimum temperatures of just one and two degrees forecast all week.
The Orange City Council's website showed residents used an average of 132 litres per person per day.
That's well below the Level 5 limit of 160 litres.
The level of the city's storage dams is gradually rising.
The latest figure shows as of last Friday the combined capacity of Suma Park and Spring Creek dams was 27.68 per cent capacity.
