Hotel manager Peter Gott said two fireplaces, one of which is now working, were discovered during the renovation.
"We pulled down the walls and found them," Mr Gott said.
"We've not done too much, it's probably more original now than it was before.
"We found these nice timber floor boards."
However, while the bar has reopened to patrons, the work isn't finished.
"We are working on the back room, it's the old function room and it's going to be a bit of a sports bar," Mr Gott said.
"We are hoping to have food soon, with council approval."
There is also a more private nook where people can enjoy a drink.
Barbershop expands
Guys Cuts will start servicing clients in Bank Street, Molong on Thursdays and Fridays from this week.
Barbershop owner Miriam Sutherland said she saw a need to open the barbershop in Millthorpe after visiting to cut children's hair.
"They have two hairdressers but no barber," Mrs Sutherland said.
Mrs Sutherland said she had a few clients visit the Orange barbershop from Molong and the hairdressers were often booked out.
Guys Cuts will be open between 10am and 5pm on the two days.
Business blooms
Business is blooming for an online boutique that was started during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Marea Ruddy, a full-time community services worker, was working from home when she decided to open Pianta Boutique.
"I sell plants and art by local artists, I'm stocking and selling art that my friends, that are amateur and up-and-coming artists are painting," Mrs Ruddy said.
A large component of her business also involves giving advice to people about keeping their indoor plants alive and healthy.
Mrs Ruddy is currently operating the business from her home and people can access it through www.piantaboutique.com.au or via Facebook and Instagram and she will deliver the plants.
She has plans to open a store front once the current pandemic has settled but is happy to remain online in the meantime.
