The Windmill Trust Scholarship is open to support professional visual art, craft or design artists facing difficulties in continuing with their professional practice.
The $10,000 scholarship aims to provide assistance for one individual or group based in regional or rural NSW.
The funds will be able to go towards independent artistic research and practice, professional development and education, presenting work in new ways and exhibiting work.
Applications close on July 19 and artists must be a resident of NSW and have lived more than 70km from the Sydney GPO for a minimum of five years continuously.
The National Association for the Visual Arts coordinates the applications on behalf of the Windmill Trust Scholarship each year.
The scholarship was established in 1997 in memory of Penny Meagher.
