Eric Baxter Pierce, of Murraba Close, was banned from entering the Hotel Orange on January 25 and although he said he did not have a drinking problem magistrate David Day said his behaviour while intoxicated suggested otherwise.
"So far all his offending has been when he has had something to drink," Mr Day said.
"He's someone who shouldn't go to licensed premises when intoxicated, he misbehaves."
However, Pierce was intoxicated when he attempted to enter the hotel again about 12.45am on March 15 when he was refused entry at the door due to the ban.
However, about 2.35am, the same man who refused him entry to the hotel saw him inside.
The security officer requested his ID so it could be supplied to police and security held him until police arrived.
When the police arrived they saw him attempting to pull out of the hold of security.
He was arrested, cautioned and handcuffed and attempted to walk back through the premises and refused to sit down until the caged truck arrived.
Pierce continued to try to get up and when the caged vehicle did arrive he had to be escorted by three people and he refused to get in the back of the vehicle.
Solicitor Gerry Stapleton said Pierce was a social drinker and he did not drink alcohol when he was away working as an arborist.
Mr Day fined Pierce $330 for attempting to re-enter a licensed premises after he had been excluded, he also fined him $110 for unlawful entry into the pub and $330 for resisting police.
