The win put the premiership favourites - who pulled out of the Western Premier League ahead of its opening round - straight into first place after the round one win.
CYMS recorded a strong 6-3 win over Barnstoneworth Beyond Blue in their first game on Saturday in a high-scoring affair.
Manager Matt Roberts said he'd been impressed with his young side's debut, "but if they expect it'll be like that for the rest of the season they're in for a shock".
The Beyond Blue goalkeeper was sent off in the first 10 minutes for a handball violation outside the box while trying to cover a fast break, which was one of the things which went CYMS' way, with an own goal also helping the green and gold out.
The fitness was another - with a young side Roberts said he was hoping for some speed and endurance, especially in the opening weeks of the competition.
"We're a really young side with a few experienced heads in there ... the bulk of our side is under 23," he said.
"Cooper Bingham was a little bulldog and won us the middle which was really important and gave us a bit of speed."
James Hamilton and Will Bennett scores braces for the side as Aiden Casey also found the back of the net to set the season off on the right note, but Roberts knows the year will be a long one.
"We're aware it'll be a long season and will only get harder," he said.
The side faces Barnstoneworth United next week, which will be "a bit of a mystery" after the club entered a team in the revived Western Premier League for 2020, so Roberts doesn't know how many players from the 2019 side will line up.
"That'll be a bit more of a test, they've had most of their players play together for a bit longer, so depending on who plays that could be a real challenge for us."
Meanwhile in the other game of the round, Millthorpe defeated Cowra 2-0 in their opening clash in Cowra.
Barnstoneworth United had a bye.
