The Barbarians affiliate announced on Thursday that it would no longer be taking part in the season due to the club's overall lack of numbers, making a ploy for two sides unfeasible.
Ed Morrish was scheduled to play with the newly-formed side and said that his team wasn't aware of the Barbarians' struggles to field a side.
"We put a team of ex-Barbs and CYMS reserve graders together and we were pretty excited," Morrish said.
"Some information about Barbarians came through that we weren't aware of... we didn't know they didn't have enough players.
"It made us unable to field a second side."
The Raiders were set to field a host of players from different sides and now, Morrish doesn't know what the future holds for himself and the likes of Mitchell Britt and Ben Gosper.
"I don't know what everyone's doing now," he said.
"A few conversations need to be had before we decide what we're doing and who's playing where."
Speaking of conversations, Group 10 will have a meaningful one next Wednesday when they decide on the eligibility of 2019's first graders within the Mid-west cup.
As it stands, seven teams are set to feature in this year's Wallerawang Landscaping Cup competition with Orange Barbarians, United Warriors, Oberon Tigers, Cargo Blue Heelers, Kandos Waratahs, Lithgow Bears and CSU Mungoes all set to kick things off on July 18.
The draft schedule, which was put together prior to the Raiders' withdrawal, will need to be reshuffled ahead of the season's commencement date.
Kurt Beahan's United Warriors were set to take on the Raiders in an all-Orange derby in the opening round.
