Newcrest's Cadia Valley Operations has donated $75,000 for furniture and final fitout of the centre.
It doubles Cadia's commitment to the $2.6 million centre after it helped start fundraising for the centre with $75,000 in 2017.
Housing Plus CEO David Fisher said The Orchard was due to be completed in August after the three-year fundraising program.
"We are obviously pleased we are getting close to being able to welcome the first clients. It's a culmination of a lot of work by a lot of people," he said.
Mr Fisher said while the centre was nearly completed it was likely future funding would be needed for ongoing programs and assistance for people using the centre.
He said they would continue to run the White Tie Ball for fundraising.
Mr Fisher said The Orchard would provide safe, 24-hour support for women and children deemed to be at high risk.
Cadia acting general manager Aaron Brannigan said the funding came from Newcrest's $20 million community support fund during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said about $1.8 million had been donated to the Orange region including business incentives and meals for hospital staff.
Mr Brannigan said Cadia was one of the first donors.
"We share the vision of Housing Plus for this facility. This donation will enable Housing Plus to complete the project and provide access to safe accommodation and support for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence in Orange," he said.
