A hugely popular service in metropolitan areas, Uber was launched in Orange around Christmas in 2018 and as of June 26 this year the company will have drivers in other areas of the Central West too.
Mudgee, Cowra and Lithgow regions will join larger rural cities like Orange and Bathurst as Uber hubs.
"We know the demand from tourists to explore our regional areas with Uber is there," an Uber spokesperson said.
"Over the first two months of 2020, tens of thousands of domestic tourists from 35 places around Australia, used the Uber app to get around the parts of regional NSW we already cover."
The launch into smaller country towns has been a long time coming, with an initial delay in March due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
"And with drivers across regional NSW already expressing interest in driving with Uber before COVID-19 got in the way, we're more excited than ever to bring flexible, on-demand transport to the entire state," the spokesperson added.
