Dubbo co-founder Lachlan Learg opened the Orange gym with his partner Karina Peters in Dalton Street as soon as the gym closures lifted.
Miss Peters said initially the opening was delayed by council approvals but it was ready to open the week gyms were shut down as a precaution against COVID-19.
"It's always been on the cards and last year we thought it was the right time to open in Orange," she said.
"We are a crossfit gym, we have classes, we also focus on individual personal training and functional fitness and getting people to move better and for better health.
"It's been a really good first couple of weeks for us, we were able to meet a lot of people before Saturday."
Crossfit Red Two is opened between 5.30am and 7pm Monday to Friday.
Cellar door opens
Strawhouse Wines has opened a new cellar door at its Boree Lane winery.
Co-owners Justin Byrne and Meg Simpson held a soft opening for the cellar door and adjoining accommodation, which caters for a couple on the June long weekend.
"This is the first time we decided to open a cellar door on the Strawhouse property," Mr Byrne said.
Mr Byrne said the original plan was to open in time for FOOD Week and the building was finished in mid-march but coronavirus restrictions prevented the cellar door from opening.
Due to a cap on visitor numbers as part of continued COVID-19 restrictions people must book ahead.
New milk deliveries
An Australian owned and regionally based dairy company has started delivering milk to homes in Orange.
The Little Big Dairy has operated for seven years at Dubbo and is now offering doorstep delivery to households in Orange every Friday.
The delivery service came about when Covid-19 struck and customers could not leave their homes and purchase limits were enforced at supermarkets.
The company adapted and had the service up and running within a few days of lock down and says it has no intention to stop as restrictions ease.
