Three councillors have indicated they will move a notice to rescind the motion at the next council meeting on Tuesday night.
Councillors Stephen Nugent, Joanne McRae and Tony Mileto will seek to change the sign-removal motion initiated by Cr Mario Previtera.
It is a very grey area.

Cr Nugent said the matter needed more thorough investigation, discussion and planning.
"The decision was made in haste and without having all of the information in front of us that we needed to have," he said.
He said if it was decided fishing was appropriate at the wetlands a designated area, with a raised platform, could be considered.
Cr Nugent said if the motion was rescinded he would seek a report on the options for more recreational options for young people at the wetlands, including fishing.
And he said if the rescission motion was carried it was likely the 'No-Fishing" signs would be re-installed.
Cr McRae said fishing was not included in the plan of management for the wetlands and removing 'No-Fishing' signs created issues.
She said she was not opposed to fishing at the wetlands.
"I don't particularly have a problem with it," she said.
However Cr McRae said the motion was "problematic" and needed to be clarified.
"It is a very grey area," she said.
Cr McRae said council might investigate planning for proper infrastructure to allow fishing to be done.
Cr Mileto said he did not believe fishing should be allowed at the wetlands.
"I don't believe the original intent of the wetlands was to allow fishing, hence why there are no fish in there," he said.
Cr Mileto said there were other fishing spots in Orange, including Gosling Creek and Lake Canobolas.
He said a feasibility study should have been undertaken about whether the wetlands was suitable for fishing before the original motion was passed.
The Ploughmans Wetlands Care Group invited councillors to inspect the wetlands with care group members on Sunday morning.
Group spokesman Neil Jones said they wanted to show councillors a suggested area for a fishing zone adjoining the dam wall at the northern end of the dam.
"This is an area which currently has less significant vegetation due to damage by off-leash dogs, and where fishing activity could be better managed than in the places where fishing is currently taking place," he said in a note to councillors.
"The overall objective is to facilitate a safe, environmentally sustainable fishing zone, while affording protection to other more sensitive habitat vegetation areas."
At the last council meeting Cr Previtera said fishing would not damage the area.
