For many of us, advances in technology have irrevocably changed the way we consume our news and entertainment.
Websites compete with newspapers. Podcasts compete with radio. Streaming services compete with television.
Mastheads, including The Central Western Daily, have had to make seismic adjustments to the way they operate in order to remain relevant.
As part of that process, The Central Western Daily introduced digital subscriptions.
Such a monumental decision was not taken lightly. For years we had been providing our online content for free and we knew the change would not please everyone.
Some signed up straight away. Others it took a little longer to win over. And there are still readers out there we have yet to convince to take the plunge.
But to say we have been overwhelmed with the support from the community we serve is an understatement.
We often know what you our readers think about our coverage of events and stories about on-going issues because you tell us.
Sometimes readers email, reply to our posts on Facebook or sometimes they call us.
At times our Facebook site is overwhelmed with feedback about a community issue, not just our coverage of that issue, and we are surprised by the diversity of opinions.
We're here to reflect community concerns and explore issues which you feel passionate about.
Please keep reaching out to us and we'll keep trying to do our best to cover the issues that matter most to you, our readers.
