CSU academics, alumni and industry leaders will open a window into their world by exploring contemporary, social, scientific and cultural issues as part of Explorations GenNeXt.

Orange and Bathurst director of external engagement Julia Andrews said the university exists to develop knowledge in the region.

"We are committed to regional communities and the sessions are our way to give back to the community and future generations," she said.

The speakers include CSU Vice-Chancellor's Chair of Australian-Indigenous Belonging Professor Stan Grant Jnr to discuss his award-winning documentary The Australian Dream, four-time World Champion athlete Kaarle McCulloch, CSU Director of Creative Industries Dr Robert Lewis and CSU senior lecturer in paramedicine Dr Phillip Ebbs.

Ms Andrews said the recorded sessions are targeted audience is students, teachers and parents but it is open to everyone.

"The videos were filmed last week and this is the first time we are doing something like this," she said.

"When everything changed with the coronavirus lockdown, we wanted to help teachers and parents.

"We're excited for students to watch Stan Grant's session because he shares his intellect and time while he sits at home and talks to the camera about the themes addressed in his documentary."
