The long weekend marked the first weekend regional travel has been permitted, while social distancing restrictions at restaurants were also loosened.
No fines or warnings for people flaunting social distancing laws were issued across the weekend, and Central West Police District Inspector Dave Harvey lauded hospitality venues across the city.
"We're happy with the manner in which licensed venues operated over the weekend," he said.
Inspector Harvey said police had carried out 760 random breath tests and "a number of drug tests" on drivers across Orange and the region from Thursday.
Only five of those breath tests returned a positive reading, while he said only a small number of drivers were caught using drugs.
"We're pretty pleased with people's behaviour over the long weekend on our roads," Inspector Harvey said.
