Regional Development Australia Central West CEO Sam Harma said students had until Friday June 19 to apply for the inaugural TEN4TEN Leadership Dialogue.
The mentors for the 2020 TEN4TEN program are: Christine Weston (RDA Central West), Orange mayor Cr Reg Kidd, member for Orange Phil Donato, member for Calare Andrew Gee, Gabriel Franklyn (Cadia), Kate Lorimer-Ward (DPI) Julia Andrews (CSU), Phil Dodds (Phocas), Genya Miller (MSM Milling) and Pip Brett (The Sonic).
The program will feature a meet and greet event, followed by a dinner.
The students will also be invited to a Business Leaders Breakfast hosted by RDA Central West and visit Parliament House in Canberra and Sydney where they will be hosted by the local members.
Mr Harma said he expected a strong response from students to apply for the program.
"I'm excited. The engagement from schools so far has been fantastic," he said.
Mr Harma said the program aimed to show students there were opportunities in the Central West for them to be leaders.
"This is an important chapter for Year 11 students and TEN4TEN offers another source of guidance and a new perspective on what careers they could pursue here in the region.
"Our mentors have so much knowledge to give and life experience to share but they also come from different sectors in the community which provides even greater variety and value."
Applications can be submitted online via the RDA Central West website.
