Orange Kart Club will hold its first race meeting since being wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic and will resume competition as normal with a host of classes on Sunday.
Club personnel Dustin Burns says a lot of people have been doing it tough without the option to race and practice and that Sunday is a long-awaited occasion.
"For a lot of people, go-karting is their sole, life hobby... that's all they live for," Burns said.
"It's been nine weeks since anyone's been able to do anything and even though we normally have a break over Christmas, people can still come down and practice.
"It doesn't matter if you're go-karting, playing soccer or playing footy, it's just a positive that people can leave the house and start having fun again."
The fun will be had over several different classes on Sunday as proceedings are set to kick-off at around 9am and Burns hopes for a turnout of somewhere around 60 races.
Whether you're an experience campaigner or just starting out, everyone has the option available to try something new as this weekend's classes range from rookies, to novices then all the way up to seniors.
For Burns, Sunday's about having fun but it's also largely focused on hygiene and safety and the crew at the kart club won't be ignoring the still-crucial social distancing guidelines.
"We've got signs around the place reminding people to be socially distant and we've got one pit stop assigned for each racer," he said.
"Even if you need a hand to carry a cart, they're about 1.5 metres long so you can do it safely.

"That's something that's still very important to us."
The club's calendar was interrupted by the pandemic but it still has six 2020 in mind which will lead-up to the biggest event in November... the South Pacific Titles.
"All the clubs in the region meet throughout the year and ours is in November," he said.
Club personnel will be at the track from 7am before competitors will start to have a few warm up runs at around 8.30am.
The official class racing will get underway from 9am and will continue for the majority of the day.
