When did Pete Bromley and the Orange Emus get together for their first team training session? Thursday night.

The Blowes Clothing Cup powerhouse wasted no time getting back onto the pitch and is fresh off a ten-man fitness session at Endeavour Oval, a get together that the coach labeled as a chance to 'shake off the cobwebs'.

"It was just 40 minutes of pure fitness work to get the legs and lungs going again after two months out of action," Bromley said.

"There were a few guys who will need a bit of work but that's alright."

Bromley's preparing his men for a shortened season which he thinks will suit some of his playing roster nicely.

"Ten games is a nice season for the old guys," he said.

Emus have already pencilled in a Saturday morning session with more than one group involved.
