The 26-year-old was reported missing to officers from Chifley Police District when he failed to return to his Gormans Hill home on Wednesday.
Following inquiries, the man was located at a home in Bathurst just before 10am on Friday.
On Friday morning police had appealed for community assistance to locate Hamish Goodfellow.
He was reported missing to officers from Chifley Police District, who started an investigation into his whereabouts.
Police said they would like to thank the community and media for their assistance.
