Restaurants, cafes and hospitality venues around the city have been quick to shift their business operations in line with social distancing recommendations currently in force due to the conronavirus, paving the way for a boom in services like Menulog.
After operating for more than a decade across metro areas with its self-delivery service and then recently launching in Orange during February, Menulog has seen a 146 per cent growth in opportunities for food couriers and online orders are up 210 per cent between February to April.
Menulog's PR and communications manager Sosi Sevazlian said customers across Orange ordered from a range of restaurants.
She said fast-food chains like KFC and Hungry Jacks topped the order list, while the New Golden Bowl Chinese Restaurant on Lords Place was also a hit.
"Customers ordering in Orange are diverse, however generally speaking, Menulog has a strong family customer demographic utilising our delivery and pick up service," she added.
New Golden Bowl Chinese Restaurant manager Jiae Lynn Lee said she was not expecting to keep up with orders and deliveries.
"We felt like the restaurant would slow down but it has been the complete opposite," she said.
"During the day, we have approximately 10 orders but have between 15 to 20 orders come through at dinner time."
Mrs Lee said the business has between two to three delivery drivers to swiftly dispatch food to the Orange community.
"With an increase in online orders through Menulog, we have one to two drivers during the week and up to three on weekends to make sure food remains hot at your door step," she said.
From May 15, the NSW Government announced restaurants and cafes will be allowed to reopen for up to 10 patrons.
"We are excited to see new and existing customers back in the restaurant and are organising ways to make sure this can be achieved," Mrs Lee said.
"We appreciate the locals support during this time."
