Residents are advised internal taps should be run for two to three minutes to ensure that any stored water is flushed from their plumbing.
The council has finished flushing the town's water mains in Molong to evacuate affected water from the water reticulation network.
Testing across several days confirmed the water quality was well within the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
The alert was put in place on Friday after a large influx of runoff into Molong Creek Dam caused a deterioration in water quality readings and the council switched to its alternate water supply, the pipeline from Orange.
Cabonne Council general manager Brad Byrnes said the alert had been lifted effective immediately.
"Residents are no longer required to boil water in Molong," he said.
"Both council and NSW Health thank the community for their patience during the duration of the alert."
The council is authorised to source 160 litres per person per day from Orange but contractors have been sought to connect bores to Molong Water Treatment Plant.
