The NRMA has revealed Orange's average petrol price is the lowest in the state this week.
The Orange price is five cents a litre cheaper than Sydney's average price, six cents cheaper than in Bathurst and 16 cents a litre cheaper than in Dubbo.
NRMA spokeswoman Bridget Ahern said Orange's average fuel prices had fallen a massive 48.1 cents a litre in the past nine weeks.
She said while Sydney prices are starting to rise there is scope for Orange prices to fall even lower.
"It's rather good news for motorists in Orange. It wouldn't even surprise me if the prices went down by another couple of cents," she said.
While the message to motorists is fill up now, coronavirus travel restrictions are limiting our ability to drive.
Two adults and their children can travel anywhere within the state to visit another household but holidays are banned. Emergency and work travel is also allowed.
While the NRMA uses unleaded fuel as its benchmark for comparison Orange's diesel fuel prices are also cheaper than other Central West cities.
Ms Ahern said Orange's average diesel price per litre was $1.09 compared to Bathurst and Dubbo at $1.18.
It wouldn't even surprise me if the prices went down by another couple of cents.

She said strong competition between petrol stations in Orange was driving the prices down.
At 2pm on Wednesday the cheapest fuel in Orange was just 85.7 cents a litre.
The cheapest fuel was at the United service stations on Woodward Street and Peisley Street while the new 7-Eleven store on Molong Road was right behind them on 85.8 cents a litre.
Ms Ahern urged motorists to shop around or check the state government and NRMA Fuel Check app and website for live fuel prices.
Some petrol stations in Orange were selling unleaded fuel for five cents a litre above the cheapest price at the same time Wednesday.
Ms Ahern said some fuel prices in Sydney were lower than in Orange with some down to 75 cents a litre.
However she said there were also petrol stations in Sydney selling the same fuel at up to $1.30 a litre which forced up the Sydney price average above the rate in Orange.
NRMA spokesman Peter Khoury said the road service had noticed a fall in breakdown callouts since the coronavirus lockdown started.
"We saw initially breakdowns fall by 20 per cent. After Easter it started to go back up to about 10 per cent less than we would normally do," he said.
Mr Khoury said the coronavirus travel restrictions were limiting motorists' opportunity to enjoy fuel prices at nearly 20-year lows.
"Petrol is cheap because people can't drive [everywhere]. It's the ultimate Catch 22," he said.
