The sale of the latest property in the street to fetch over $1 million has highlighted the leafy street's attraction to top-end buyers.
The five-bedroom, four bathroom property at 74 Byng Street has just sold for $1.459 million.
That makes it the fifth highest priced residential property sold in the CBD, according to research by the Central Western Daily.
It comes as another Byng Street property is on the market for more than a million dollars and an estate agent has forecast about 20 Byng Street properties could sell for more than $1 million.
Four of the five known highest-priced sales in the Orange CBD are in Byng Street.
At least seven houses in Byng Street have fetched more than $1 million, including three in the past 12 months.
McCormack Barber real estate director Peter McCormack, who sold the latest Byng Street property, said there was plenty more scope in the street for big sales.
Mr McCormack said it had always been a price leader in Orange including the first properties to break the $500,000 barrier and the $1 million target.
He said the area from Woodward Street to Sale Street was the most attractive.
"There's just more potential in that block," he said.
"There are over 20 properties that could reach $1 million in Byng Street," he said.
Mr McCormack said a family had bought the latest seller. "They currently live locally and bought it specially for their love of the [area]," he said.

The sale comes as another million-dollar-plus Byng Street house has gone on the market.
Professionals Orange agent Alistair Miller said a 100-year-old house at 24 Byng Street was on the market for $1.295 million.
Mr Miller said it had four bedrooms and was well located. However he said the impact of the coronavirus on buyer confidence was affecting any sale.
"We had got really good interest a few weeks ago but unfortunately they dropped off," he said.
"It's a four bedroom house, on the Sampson Street corner which is ground zero in Orange for where people want to be.
"Under normal circumstances I would have been breaking up fights over it."
Real estate agents will be able to run open house inspections of properties from this weekend.
The state government has relaxed a six-week ban which was introduced to meet social distancing rules in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
