On Saturday, 30 stalls including vegetables, fruit, bread, eggs and meat will set up at a new location on private land.
The market will be set up at the new Mad Hatter site at 137 Peisley Street, opposite the railway station where Ed Hattersley of Mad Hatters Drink Lab, has opened a takeaway coffee kiosk.
Mr Hattersley reached out to the Orange Farmers Market management soon after hearing the market didn't have a home in March and offered his business location opposite the railway station.
Orange Farmers Market president Paula Charnock said food markets weren't included in the restrictions announced by Health and Medical Research Minister Brad Hazzard on March 20.
She said due to additional measures being put in place, the shop and go markets were considered an opportunity to distribute produce.
"Many from the local health sector believe it is essential that our community can access fresh produce during the pandemic and throughout the winter months when colds and flus are more prevalent so we were excited when Ed approached us with a potential solution," Ms Charnock said.
"All of our stallholders hold a council food safety certificate and almost always, the only people who have handled the produce are the producers/stallholders themselves.
She said the the customers will not be handling the food, which is significantly different to supermarkets. Instead gloved stallholders will hand the product to the customer.
Shoppers are encouraged to preorder by contacting stall holders directly on the Orange Farmers Market website.
"This is not a social event," Mrs Charnock said.
The only people who have handled the produce are the producers/stallholders themselves.

"It's an opportunity to pick up pre-ordered produce and purchase essential, local, fresh produce.
"Other markets run by agencies continue to operate with measurements in place, and in some cases have increased the number of markets per month to ensure their communities are accessing fresh, local produce, reducing the numbers of people in supermarkets."
The shop and go market is for residents only and is an opportunity to support local growers whose produce will go to waste if not consumed.
The farmers market committee said after conferring with council staff, the private site it was deemed exempt from requiring a development application.
The shop and go market will run from 8.30am to noon at Mad Hatters Drink Lab, in the laneway next the the opposite the railway station and next to the Great Western Hotel.
The same restrictions will apply as those used last month at the Agrestic Grocer.
