Cabonne Council shut the roads on Friday afternoon in preparation for snow and they remained closed until a second inspection on Monday morning.
Federal Falls was running strongly following weekend rain, with hikers already enjoying the track repaired after the 2018 bushfires, in addition to waterfalls along Summer Hill Creek.
Orange is expected to return to slightly warmer conditions for the rest of the week, peaking at 17 degrees on Friday.
Saturday will drop to 13 degrees with a possible shower.
