Orange City Tenpin Bowls might not be open for business but that hasn't stopped the members from lifting each other's spirits as the Belmonte-owned club just finished its second week of the House Shot competition, a tenpin tournament where 39 teams are competing from home.

It'd be natural to assume all the teams are from Orange, or even the Central West area, but Marisa Belmonte has recruited players from both hemispheres as there's four teams from the United States who are all avid Jason Belmonte fans.
Marisa Belmonte is just as excited now as she was before the tournament kicked off and said everyone who's playing is having a great time - which is the main objective of the competition.
"It's really fun... we're just having so much fun," Belmonte said.
"Everyone who's participating in it is really enjoying it and that's what it's all about.
"There's no real tight regulations. Some are finding bowling at home a little easier than others but everyone's having fun."
The duo of Jason and Hugo Belmonte looked like one of the more likely winners but Kimberley, Aria and Sylvie Belmonte aren't letting the boys have it all their way as they're currently ahead of them in the standings.
The initiative was obviously sparked after the coronavirus forced the centre to close down and while the House Shot tournament is a great substitute, Belmonte's still missing all the regular faces from the club.
"We really miss the interaction we have with people on a weekly basis," she said.

"We can't wait until we open again and we're all excited to get back to enjoying our regular life and bowling's obviously massive part of that."
As for when the club might re-open, Belmonte's not able to pencil anything in and says the best guide for a potential return date will be an update on Friday.
"We'll know more when the cabinet meets at the end of the week," she said.
"Whatever the government feels comfortable with, we'll support 100 percent.
"There's lots we can do if we're only able to open for a small number of people like staggering our leagues.
"We're more than happy to do whatever falls into the health requirements."
Belmonte highlighted the vitality of tenpin bowling at Orange and emphasised how much of a family-friendly sport it is
"It's a sport for everyone... kids and grandparents," she said.
"We'll be reopening as soon its possible to do it safely.
"We already had strict hygiene measures in place and we've got clear plans for when we return."
