The walking track, located near the Fourth Crossing picnic area on Ophir Road, leads to a waterfall, which barely ran at the height of the drought.
One reader submitted these photographs and videos of the rushing water, while families frequented the area on Sunday thanks to the more welcoming conditions.
According to Bureau of Meteorology, 57.4 millimetres fell in Orange during the 24 hours to 9am on Thursday, then another 45mm fell over the first three days of May.
The welcome drenching comes on the back of an encouraging start to 2020, rain-wise, with the 469.2mm recorded over the first four months of the calendar year more than that in the gauge for the entirety of 2019.
Orange's total combined water storage has risen to 23.1 per cent as of Friday, with Suma Park Dam at almost 21 per cent capacity.
