It was a bitter-sweet feeling after a Manildra Rhinos' club meeting on Thursday night but president Marlene Nash said she's 'relieved' that what's been a horror 2020 season is finally over.

The Rhinos board unanimously voted to withdraw all of their teams from the Woodbridge Cup this season, becoming the first rugby league side in the Central West to announce they won't be lacing up the boots this year.
"It's just been too hard a year," Nash said.
"We're very happy with our decision. This is a community-based club and without gate takings and canteens we can't field a team.
"We're also worried about the health and fitness of our players."
Not only was the club concerned about the safety of its players, it acknowledged a large part of the volunteer workers at the club are older citizens.
"A lot of the people who help us out at the ground are my age - over 60," she said.
"I think everybody was sort of expecting it and had the same mindset.
"We had a vote and unfortunately there were a few people who would have liked to have kept playing but with the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, we were pushed to make a decision sooner rather than later."
The Rhinos will now focus on moving forward and Nash says the vast majority of personnel from the players to the coaching staff will be ready come winter 2021.
"We're just focusing on bigger and better things for next year," he said.
"Everyone was prepared for it and I've already spoken to coaches who have said they're happy to pick things up again next season."
The Woodbridge Cup has shown sympathy when it comes to clubs deciding for themselves if they want to play in 2020 and Nash is appreciative of that.
"I'm really pleased that they didn't push us into it," she said.
"If we were forced to play we would have really been struggling financially and mentally.
"A lot of our players had already decided they weren't going to play."
It doesn't feel like the Rhinos are the last domino to fall in the lead-up to July as there's certainly more than one rugby league club that's struggling amid the financially-crippling pandemic.
