Police and emergency crews remain on site at about 9.30am Wednesday, with traffic diversions in place, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
Chifley Local Area Command crime manager Chief Inspector Luke Rankin confirmed the female motorcyclist, in her 30s, sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a man believed to be aged in his 50s, was uninjured.
He was taken to Bathurst Hospital for mandatory testing.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said they were called to the crash by police and multiple crews responded to the job, however, the victim died at the scene.
While investigations into the fatality are in their infancy, Chief Inspector Rankin said a crime scene had been established and crime scene investigators were en-route to the crash.
"Road diversions at the crash site are in place and we expect them to be maintained for some time," he said.
Inquiries continue and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
