Several petrol stations in Orange have merged into the cheap lane with E10 prices at Metro Orange on Bathurst Road at 99.9 cents per litre, United Petroleum on Woodward Street at 100.0 cents per litre and 7-Eleven on Bathurst Road priced at 101.9 cents per litre.
Diesel prices have taken a hit with Caltex Orange Diesel Stop priced at 115.9 cents per litre and United Petroleum on Woodward at 116.9 cents per litre.
In regional NSW, regular unleaded and diesel prices have fallen 22.3 cents per litre and 17.1 cents per litre over the past six weeks.
Metro Orange petrol station manager Lionel Shields said overall sales have increased by 40 per cent with the drop in fuel prices.
"The fall in prices is a great thing for the Orange community as it will help those in need of petrol to travel to and from places," he said.
"Especially in this economy, every cent counts and has to be stretched as far as it can possibly go. We have a lot of farmers and people who survive week-to-week who will benefit from the low prices."
He also said on average the petrol station will go through 2,000 to 3,000 litres of diesel in three to four days.
"The farmers who live outside of Orange and small businesses come to the station to fill up and stock up until they have to come in again. The dip in prices will definitely benefit them when they do come in so they don't have to travel as often."
Situated alongside Bathurst Road, Mr Shields said the station is continuing health and safety measures for those who visit the bowser.
"We have put up a plastic shield between the customer and service desk and follow the social distancing regulations as much as we can," he said.
