The Orange-based theatre company won best play for its maiden play, Art, a play about friendship and art.
Actors Alvaro Marques as Marc, Mark Coster as Yvan and Nick Tucknot as Serge were awarded best actor awards for a leading role in a play, for their performances as the three friends in Art.
Imogen Steele from the Parkes Musical and Dramatic Society won the Patricia Kelson Encouragement Award for her role as Fiona in Shrek the Musical Jr, which was her first theatrical stage show.
Several other Orange plays and musicals were nominated for the CAT Awards that were announced online due to the ceremony being cancelled due to coronavirus.
Among the nominees was Orange Theatre Company's Scott Halls who was nominated for best musical set, and variety or dance production in Jesus Christ Superstar.
The musical was also nominated for best musical production, and technical achievement for its crucifixion scene.
For his performance as Caiaphas, Zach Ferguson was nominated for best actor in a featured role in a musical.
Alan Moxey was nominated for best actor in a lead musical role for his role as Judas.
Orange Theatre Company was also nominated for its musical Rent, with Erin Rimmer nominated for best actress in a featured role in a musical for her role as Joanna.
Orange Public School was nominated for best variety performance for Thank You Mr Disney, which was performed by the Year 5-6 Dance Group.
The Pinnacle Players were nominated for their play Vicar of Dibley.
Vicar of Dibley had nominations for the cast and best ensemble.
Rod Jones was nominated for best actor in a featured role in a play for his rendition of Hugo and Martina Sellwood was nominated for best actress in a featured role in a play for her role as Alice.
Cinda Jackson was also nominated for best actress in a lead role in a play for her portrayal of Geraldine.
The Booze Brothers from Molong Players also received a magic theatre moment nomination for the arrival of the police motorcycle.
Other nominees from the region included, Parkes Musical and Dramatic Society for Shrek the Musical Jr, Les Miserables, Anne of Green Gables.
It was also nominated for commendations for the company for accessible productions for hearing impaired and Neil Westcott for 40 years of performing/directing and Lyn Townsend for 16 years of directing.
The Carillon Junior Theatrical Society in Bathurst also had nominations for Aladdin Jr.
