The number has remained stable in Orange since the last person tested positive on April 6.
Of the confirmed cases, nine were from Orange where only one active case remains. Sadly there was also one death from the Orange region earlier this month.
Bathurst also had nine confirmed cases with one active case remaining.
Dubbo had six confirmed cases with one still active.
There are two active cases in the Mid-Western Region out of six that were confirmed.
The five people from across the region who still have the active virus may be receiving medical care in hospital, or they may be in isolation in the community.
The health district started reporting the number of active cases on Friday, when the number sat at seven.
There are currently no other confirmed active cases for the region but there had been five people who tested positive from the Cabonne region.
There had been three cases from Blayney, and one each from Coonamble, Narromine, Parkes, Warren, Warrumbungle Shire and Weddin Shire.
The cases are reported on the basis of a person's usual place of residence.
According to the health district, two cases have been removed from the total number of notifications. These cases were excluded because subsequent testing found them to be negative for COVID-19.
Those two people resided in the Orange and Coonamble local government areas.
A number of local government areas, including Cowra, Forbes, Bogan and Oberon, have had no COVID-19 cases at all.
The health district reminds people that it is critical that everyone in all our communities continue to practice social distancing to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19.
A spokesperson said this is important for everyone, but particularly for older people and people with health conditions that make them more vulnerable.
They said it's also important that we protect our health care workers who we need to stay well to provide care to people who become sick with COVID-19.
The best thing people can do is to stay at home unless it is absolutely essential.
People should:
- Clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub
- Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow
- Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
- Stay home if you are sick
- Keep your distance from others as much as possible through social distancing
