THERE are just seven active coronavirus cases remaining in Western NSW, including a newly-diagnosed case in the Mid-Western local government area, as Orange has gone its 11th day without adding a new case.

There is only one active case of COVID-19 in Orange.
Until now the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) has only reported on the overall number of cases, however, from Friday they began reporting on the number of active cases by LGA.
There are two active cases remaining in each Bathurst and the Mid-Western LGA, with one each in Blayney, Dubbo and Orange.
In addition, subsequent testing of suspected COVID-19 cases in the region has seen two patients cleared from having the virus, these people resided in the Orange and Coonamble LGAs.
This re-testing brings the overall number of cases in Western NSW down to 44, a number which has remained relatively stable since April 6.
Total number of COVID-19 cases by local government area:
- Orange 9, including one death
- Bathurst 9
- Dubbo 6
- Cabonne 5
- Mid-Western 6
- Blayney 3
- Coonamble 1
- Narromine 1
- Parkes 1
- Warren 1
- Warrumbungle 1
- Weddin 1
A number of LGAs, including Cowra, Forbes, Bogan and Oberon, have had no COVID-19 cases at all.
COVID-19 cases are reported by the LGA of the person's usual place of residence.

Meanwhile, new measures now introduced at all WNSWLHD facilities will see anyone with a high temperature banned from entering.
All visitors, including patients, clients, consumers, contractors and all staff - will now have their temperature checked before entering the facility as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
"If anyone's temperature registers 38 degrees or higher, they will not be allowed to enter the facility and will be directed to the COVID-19 clinic for swabbing and advised accordingly," a WNSWLHD spokeswoman said.
"This extra precautionary measure has been enacted to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our health facilities and community.
"This is to protect patients and consumers, as well as our staff."
Everyone can play their part in containing the spread of COVID-19 by doing the following:
- Clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or an alcohol-based rub
- Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow
- Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
- Stay home if you are sick
- Keep your distance from others as much as possible through social distancing.
