Data released by the Western NSW Local Health District (LHD) at 10am on Thursday also shows that 35 people in the region have made a recovery from COVID-19.
The number of cases in the region has remained relatively stable since April 6, with just one person diagnosed with the virus during the past 10 days.
Coronavirus cases by local government area are:
- Orange 10, including one death
- Bathurst 9
- Dubbo 6
- Cabonne 5
- Mid-Western 5
- Blayney 3
- Coonamble 2
- Narromine 1
- Parkes 1
- Warren 1
- Warrumbungle 1
- Weddin 1
A number of LGAs, including Cowra, Forbes, Bogan and Oberon, have had no COVID-19 cases at all.
Across NSW, there have been 11 new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Wednesday - there's now a total of 2897 cases across the state.
Of those 207 are being treated by NSW Health, with 26 patients in intensive care units - 19 on ventilators.
There have been 63 deaths due to COVID-19 in Australia, including 26 in NSW, 14 in Vic, four in Qld, six in WA, six in Tas, three in ACT, four in SA). 19 were passengers on the Ruby Princess.
Health district tips
- Clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub
- Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow
- Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
- Stay home if you are sick
- Keep your distance from others as much as possible through social distancing
