Don Ball Mechanical Repairs owner Mark Jacobs said the business has started to slow down since the pandemic forced the country into self isolation.
"Two months ago we were booked out a week in advanced and serviced on average 120 cars per week, but now we're only booked two days in advance and service 50 cars per week," he said.
"Work hours haven't changed but we're definitely not as busy."
He also believes people are scared to drive with the social distancing restrictions but the repair shop does have a solution.
"We offer a pick up and delivery service where a staff member will pick up the car, service and sanitize the car, call to make the payment over the phone and then drop it off with the invoice and leave the keys in a safe place," Mr Jacobs said.
Jenners Mechanical owner Sam Jenner also offers a pick up and delivery service but noticed people aren't using it as frequently as before.
"Before the coronavirus hit, we had 70 per cent of our customers use the pick up and delivery service but now that has significantly dropped off," he said.
However, Mr Jenner says people are more concerned about the hygiene of cars and are requesting for cabin filters to be changed.
"There are some cars we service that haven't had their cabin filter and air conditioning checked in five years or longer and there's a lot of bacteria build up," he said.
"In the last three weeks we cleaned and changed 20 cabin filters and I think we'll be receiving more of those kinds of servicing as people become vigilant over car cleanliness."
As some people may have lost their jobs because their business or industry has closed down because of the coronavirus, John Spicers Mechanical Repairs is offering alternative solutions.
"We're organising payment plans through GoPay and Open Pay to help customers," John Spicers Mechanical Repairs business owner Learne Spicer said.
"This will allow people to split their payments to what they can afford to at the time. We're also happy to organise other deals to service or arrange registration to help with your car needs.
"We're trying to think outside the box to help not only the customer but also our small business."
