The seven-year-old mare is five-for-five when it comes to top three finishes in her own back yard and even though her form guide of late isn't pretty, Alison Smith's horse is one of her better shots to win some prize money in the 1000m showcase sprint on Friday.

Bred to go short distances, Absolute Ripper kicked off her winning ways at Narromine on May 23 2016 over 800m and since then, has gone on to win seven races - three of which were at Orange.

Making up the field for Friday's race is Brett Cavanough's 'Another Sin', the five-year-old gelding shaping as one of the ones to beat as he's placed in four consecutive races, adding to his $171,110 career prize money.

Not to be discounted is Phil Sweeney's 'Pleasant' who's won four races in the last 12 months but will have to deal with the unfamiliarity of the track as it's the seven-year-old gelding's first ever race at Orange.

Smith's 'Panuara' is also part of the nominees list for race 2 and looks to be a fair chance after putting in some good work recently with five consecutive top-three finishes. The seven-year-old Gelding has also had a cracking career but is yet to win at Orange as Wellington and Dubbo have been his hot spots.
