The former Bluebaggers' skipper is coming off what he's dubbed as one of his worst seasons to date and even though his form on pitch might not have been up to scratch, his abilities behind a keyboard leave nothing to be desired.
Without further ado:
Occupation: Business Development Manager at BFF Industrial Supplies
CWD: How are you coping during this big break in sports and social events?
Daryl: Not too bad. I have managed to keep my addictions appeased with punting on ponies and pooches. I also whoop the kids at billiards, table tennis, darts, cricket and basketball... so yeah... that's making me feel good about sport. Not so much the kids.
CWD: Which of your Centrals/BOIDC mates will be dealing with the downtime the worst?
Daryl: Dean Turner because his missus talks a lot and dances around the house annoying him.
CWD: Which of your Centrals/BOIDC mates will be dealing with the downtime the best?
Daryl: Cam Rasmussen. He's in his own world most of the time anyway.
CWD: Who's going to be the first teammates at the pub when it reopens?
Daryl: Jake Pauletto..hands down. Closely followed by Dean Turner, Zac Reimer, Fletcher Rose, Matt Ripps, Nick Dunlop, Graham Judge, Rowan Dray and myself.
CWD: Who's your favourite cricketer of all time?
Daryl: Mark Waugh. What a marvellous career that. But now he's not playing, he's a bit of a d**k.
CWD: Do you feel you had a good season of cricket in 2019-20?
Daryl: Nope probably my worst for a while with the ball. I had one good innings with the bat. Too old, too injured. This time off hockey will be good for me to rest and get ready for 2020/21.
CWD: What's something you'd like to work on for next year?
Daryl: the #rednblack team song. Not that we got to sing it much but it gets a run in the shed after a game.
