"I enjoyed my neighbourhood over the years, however over the last six to 12 months, the hotel was purchased and the owner wants to do a bit of expansion so I thought it was perhaps time to move," he said.

Wider net
WITH many businesses currently evaluating their financial futures and heading online, one management accountant is helping to make the process a little more visual.
Daniel Roth of Precida has been working with the Department of Industry but recently branched out to smaller businesses and not-for-profits.
He helps to create financial models and dashboards, evaluates scenarios, trains managers without finance backgrounds and advises on cloud-based systems.
"The intent of [dashboards] is to make financial information more visual for small and medium business owners," he said.
"Then they can interpret them - it relates to helping decision-making."
Milestone hit
ONE of Orange's training organisations has reached its target, engaging 512 people into education, employment or skills training in the past six months.
Skillset implemented a program called SkillForce500, which set a target of 500 people.
Of the total, businesses in the Orange region helped to place 87 people into education, employment and training, with Hort Enterprises taking on nine.
SkillForce500 new starter, Cameron Geddes, started a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker) apprenticeship in January.
"This apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to experience working a full-time job while gaining new skills, which has improved my ability to adapt," he said.
