Madden Partners partner James Madden and Roan Financial Group principal Peter Roan are working from home and said they had received more inquires than usual.
"I've been doing a lot of Zoom meetings, a lot of phone calls," Mr Madden said.
"I'm a lot busier than I would normally be."
He said he has had individuals come forward seeking information about working from home and what they will need come tax time.
He said people working from home will be able to claim part of electricity and heating costs as well as the purchase of home office equipment, stationary and phone and internet bills if they have been using their own phone and internet services.
"There's going to be a large increase in things they can claim," Mr Madden said.
He said people should keep track of previous bills so they can compare them to get an idea of how much they can claim and they should also take photos of any receipts for relevant equipment purchases.
He is also encouraging existing clients to send through their tax information earlier this year so their claims can be processed straight after June 30 for any returns can be paid sooner.
"A lot of people are giving us a call about what's going on with the government stimulus," Mr Madden said.
He said the business was trying to find all the information it could and Mr Madden was also going to film a video to show clients what the application process involves and what information business clients would need to have on hand.
Mr Roan said he has also fielded a lot of financial planning calls.
His advice to people inquiring about shares and superannuation was not to panic and to remember they were long-term investments and they would grow again.
He's also had inquiries about people who want to buy shares for the first time.
"Obviously the market going up and down is the main thing at the moment," Mr Roan said.
"The key to everything is get advice."
When it comes to tax claims for people working from home he said the ATO app was a useful tool as was a Moneysmart budget planner.
