RAIN is still falling across many parts of the Central West on Monday morning following good overnight falls.

For most towns the rain started in the early hours of the morning, with the heaviest falls in the eastern part of the region.
Mudgee received the most rain with 32.4 millimetres recorded by 7.30am at the Bureau of Meteorology's weather station at the airport.

Heavy rain was also recorded in Orange overnight with 29.0mm recorded.
In Cowra 28.8mm has fallen, in Bathurst 19.6mm, while in Parkes the BOM's gauge showed 19.2mm.
Other towns that received less than 10mm of overnight rain included: Dubbo (9.0mm), Forbes (8.4mm), Young (6.6mm) and Lithgow (5.6mm).
A thunderstorm is possible for the Central West on Monday.
There is a further chance of more showers across the region from Thursday to Saturday.
