But it wasn't enough to stop someone call police claiming a large group of people were sitting there drinking coffee in defiance of the coronavirus social distancing laws.
Restaurant owner Willa Arantz said she was surprised to see police attend the venue on Saturday.
"They said 'we've had a report of groups larger than six sitting around the table having a coffee. They said 'you're not the first. We're doing the rounds of the area'," she said.
"It's so annoying that people are wasting police's time. It is people trying to be police."
Mrs Arantz said the chairs were removed last Monday.
She said they sold a few takeaway coffees last week but had now shut down to protect staff.
"It's not worth our while," she said.
Police have warned people not following social distancing rules face on-the-spot fines of $1000 for individuals and $5000 for businesses.
