Librarian Sean Brady said parents could keep children entertained through the library's subscription to Story Box Library, which has celebrities reading picture books.
"We are also working on getting stories on our own," Mr Brady said.
On Friday, the library's regular story teller Fiona Hawke recorded several storytime videos with the intention of the library releasing one video each day.
"We're looking at putting in some other online content for kids to keep them active and keep their brains functioning," Mr Brady said.
"We want to be able to run school holiday activities [online] if possible."
Mr Brady said people could also borrow a variety of e-books from various sources such as BorrowBox, RB digital and Ebsco eBook Public Library, that are are found on the library website.
He said there were also audio books available online for people who have trouble reading or want to listen to a book while doing another activity.
Additionally there were non-fiction and family history information and online magazines and newspapers.
Mr Brady said people who have borrowed hard copy books should keep them in their possession until the library reopens because there won't be staff to sort returns.
"There will be no fined or charges issued in this period," Mr Brady said.
"If they do get one that will be a system error."
