Following the federal government's requirement for limiting indoor group gatherings to 100, the cinema is limiting the number of tickets to 30 per cent, less than 100 people per cinema.
According to a statement from the cinema, it has sanitisation practices in place, has reduced cinema numbers and is asking customers to practice social distancing.
It has asked people sit with a gap or three seats between them in the cinema, and leave a 1.5 metre gap in the foyer lines.
The social distancing is in addition to the now usual requirements of handwashing or sanitising.
The toilets will also be closed for customer access only.
The cinema is also requesting people pay by card not cash and there will be reduced hours published on the cinema's website.
