Synergy Active Ageing Lifestyle Centre is part of UPA Ascott Gardens in east Orange, which offers yoga, art classes, Tai Chi, music therapy, physio classes, plus the Lime Cafe Corner.
Co-ordinator Bambi Romanow said the facility opened two years ago, operating from 9.30am-1.30pm on weekdays, but recently underwent a review and a business plan was formulated.
She said as a result, longer opening hours were being considered in addition to a wider menu.
"We're going to do some light lunches," she said.
Ms Romanow said the residents appreciated being able to invite their families for lunch, but members of the public could also access the cafe from March Street and people had started using the space for functions.
"We had Nile Street Cafe cater for a party recently," she said.
Greater win
GREATER Bank has been rewarded for its customer service, receiving an award at the DBM Australian Financial Awards in Sydney.
The Orange-based financial institution received the Best Customer Service award after being rated best in class by consumers.
The annual event recognises the best of the Australian financial sector by collecting feedback from more than 80,000 consumers and business owners, based on their experiences with their financial institutions.
Greater Bank chief executive officer Scott Morgan said the award reflected the institution's dedication to customers.
"It's one of our guiding principles that underpin our operations every day," he said.
"Our customers are our greatest advocates - this is why we continue to invest in our business to ensure we are providing the best customer service as well as competitively priced, quality products."
It is the second consecutive year the bank has been recognised at the awards after taking out the Most Recommended Customer-owned Bank title at last year's event.
The institution has been servicing the Central West region since 1998 and now has branches in Bathurst, Dubbo and Orange.
Retail move
A THIRD store has joined Millers and Katies in the former Best & Less store in Summer Street.
Crossroads has moved into the space, closing its former tenancy in Orange Central Square.
All three chains are owned by Noni B after a $31 million purchase in 2018.
