He's only 25 years old but after eight years of first grade and countless Harold Matthews and SG Ball appearances, Newcastle product Steven Widders is coming to Orange Hawks with one goal in mind - to become a leader.

The former Souths Newcastle Lion will link up with old teammate Willie Heta for the 2020 Group 10 season as the Two-Blues look to form a premiership-winning roster in an ultra-competitive competition.
The Indigenous spark plug was summoned to the Central West to play fullback, a position he's spent the majority of his senior career in.
Not only is he electric at the back of the field, Widders is looking to re-ignite a deadly combination with Heta and thinks the pair have a knack for knowing where the other one is on the field, a duo that will only improve with more reps on the training paddock.
"I'm not sure what it is with Willie and I but he knows where to put the ball and I know where to be," he said.
"We'll give each other a look and we'll both just be in the right place.
I think the reason Willie brought myself and a few others in was to go that one step further.
- Steven Widders
While Hawks' have had a host of capable fullbacks in the past few seasons, Widders feels like a unique talent and someone who'll genuinely ignite their attack.
Something that took Widders by surprise when he arrived in the region was the Group 10 talent pool and was shocked at some of the personnel he'll be joining in Western Division.
"The Newcastle comp's a strong one but Group 10's stronger than I thought," Widders said.
"CYMS have signed a few big names and Josh Starling's at the Panthers so it'll be good."
Widders has a modest personality but isn't oblivious to the responsibilities he's facing this season and knows if the Hawks are to contend for a premiership, he needs to be at his best, as does the entire roster.
"I think the reason Willie brought myself and a few others in was to go that one step further," he said.
"I want to work on my leadership. I'm only 25 but I've been playing first grade for a while so I'm sort of one of the older heads."
Widders will kick-start his bush footy career on Saturday as the Hawks play Cowra at the Bathurst Knockout.
