Officers from Central West Police District executed the warrant on Friday morning following an investigation, and allegedly found four railway detonators and ammunition at the Orange address.

Railway detonators are a coin-sized explosive used as loud warnings to train drivers.

Half an hour after the warrant, police attempted to stop a Nissan Maxima on Lone Pine Avenue, but when the vehicle refused to stop, officers followed it.

The Nissan drove to the home on Bathurst Road, where officers were executing the search warrant, and the driver, a 32-year-old man was arrested.

He was taken to Orange Police Station and charged with not stopping for police, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, two counts of drug possession and two counts of possessing ammunition without a permit.

The man was refused bail to appear at Orange Local Court on Monday.
