Who's standing out - or training down the house, if you like - at their club? What are some of the biggest issues facing Group 10 this season and into the future?
Who's the opposition player that you have to keep your eye on this winter and what stars need to align to ensure it's them standing on the dias with the Western Challenge Trophy at the beginning of September?
CWD: What needs to go right for your club to be crowned Group 10 premiers?
DANIEL MORTIMER: One big issue I have heard regarding last year's campaign is injuries.
It's something you cannot always control or prepare for but something I will need to consider in training intensity and game preparation.
It's really important to have some consistency in my team especially in key positions.
CWD: Who's the player to watch from your club in 2020?
DM: I honestly cannot say at the moment.
I have been away for 13 years and haven't seen enough as of yet.
Whilst I am happy with the progress of many players, I can't identify one player in particular. Ask me after round six.
CWD: Which game have you got circled in your calendar and why?
DM: Round four versus Panthers.
Not only do we get to take on the defending premiers, we get to do it in front of the crowd for the Sharks versus Panthers NRL game.
I was lucky enough to be a part of this NRL game in 2015 with the Titans and it's a great atmosphere.
I know the players will relish the opportunity and hopefully we can put together a good performance.
CWD: Which opposition player do you think is the most dangerous in the competition?
DM: I have heard the great things that Willie Heta has done with Hawks.
They will be a dangerous team again under his leadership and obviously Josh Starling will add plenty of NRL experience to the Panthers pack.
CWD: What would you like to see change in Group 10 in 2020?
DM: I'd like to see Orange invest in a rugby league stadium that can attract NRL games.
I think a huge opportunity was missed in building a great sporting complex at Wade Park but Orange is long overdue for an upgrade.
Hopefully it happens soon.
CWD: Do you think more needs to be done to help smaller clubs such as Oberon?
DM: I do but I don't have the solution.
I love the resilience of the Blayney Bears who have had some tough years but still field a first grade team.
I'll ensure CYMS go back to their pub to support their key sponsor after our round one game.
I think it's really important Group 10 clubs support each other and I'll be looking for more opportunities to do so throughout the year.
