The KWS1 side scored a convincing 14-1 senior win over club-mates KWS3 with Connick featuring with ball in hand.
Last Thursday was a big day for KWS teams with KWS2 scoring a surprise 8-7 win over their more-fancied rivals, Water Rats.
The school side were up 4-3 at half-time but then trailed 6-5 with one quarter remaining. KWS2 fired up in the final period to win the final quarter 3-1 and take the game.
All the other senior games had clear winners with Phar Laps accounting for Goal Diggers 10-5, Cobras toppling Flounders 8-4 and Jets thumping Squids 11-0.
In the intermediate competition, KWS Dinocrocs had to fight back to record a 5-all draw with KWS Hammerheads.
Hammerheads were up 5-2 at the main break before Dinocros powered home with three unanswered goals to claim the draw. Fergus Connick finished the game with three goals for Dinocros, while Toby Gough and William Deshon nailed a double each for Hammerheads.
In the other intermediate match, KWS Orcas edged out KWS Barracudas 6-4 in a see-sawing match.
It was KWS who came out on top in the under 13s match last week when KWS Year 7s toppled Orange Water Dragons 10-5.
The first half was where the damage was done with KWS taking a 7-2 lead after holding the Water Dragons scoreless in the opening quarter.
The Water Dragons won the third quarter 3-1 but KWS surged home with two unanswered goals in the final period for the strong win.
